Courses for adults are 1 hour per lesson running for a period of 10 weeks. Each course is designed to progress from the previous one. So, if you want to carry on, when you finish one level, you will be able to enrol in the next one.

Beginner

Description

Beginner level is divided in 3 modules and covers level A1 of the European Framework of Languages. If you are completely new to Spanish our Beginner1 module will be perfect for you. If you are not a complete beginner, just contact us and we will assess your level so that you can join the module to match your ability.

Material: We use the textbook Aula Internacional 1. Nueva Edición. Autores: Jaime Corpas, Eva García, Agustín Garmendia (Editorial Difusión, 2013) to cover the whole Beginner level.

What you will learn

When you complete the Beginner 1 module you will be able to:

  • Understand and use familiar everyday expressions.
  • Ask for and give personal information.
  • Talk about your job and interests.
  • Order food and drinks.
  • When you complete the Beginner 2 and Beginner 3 modules you will:
  • Be ready to have simple conversations with native speakers.
  • Be confident to use more detailed vocabulary and structures to talk about yourself and your everyday life, as well as past experiences.

Elementary

Description

Our Elementary level is divided in 3 modules and covers level A2 of the European Framework of Languages.

Material: We use the textbook Aula Internacinal 2. Nueva Edición. Autores: Jaime Corpas, Agustín Garmendia, Carmen Soriano (Editorial Difusión, 2013) to cover the whole Elementary level.

What you will learn

When you complete the whole Elementary level (Elementary 1, Elementary 2 and Pre-Intermediate modules) you will be able to:

  • Understand and use common expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (i.e. family, lifestyle, likes and dislikes, shopping and holidays).
  • Communicate with greater confidence on familiar topics.
  • Catch the main information when listening to clear and simple conversations.
  • Read and understand clearly written texts (i.e. emails, advertisements, brochures).
  • Write short and simple texts.

Intermediate

Description

Intermediate level is divided in 3 modules and covers level B1 and part of level B2 of the European Framework of Languages. If you studied Spanish for about 2 years or you have an A Level in Spanish language, our Lower-Intermediate module will be perfect for you.

Material: Tutors will provide the teaching materials for the Intermediate level including authentic material such as newspapers and magazines articles, and videos and films.

What you will learn

When you complete the whole Intermediate level (Lower-Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate and Pre-Advanced modules) you will be able to:

  • Enjoy spontaneous conversations on a range of different topics (i.e. leisure, culture and current affairs).
  • Describe your experiences, hopes and ambitions, and give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
  • Deal with most situations likely to arise when travelling in Spain.
  • Understand more complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics.
  • Produce more articulated texts on topics of personal interests.

Advanced

Description

Our Advanced level covers levels B2 and C1 of the European Framework of Languages.If you already have a good knowledge of the language, you want to improve both your fluency and accuracy in spoken and written Spanish and you are willing to gain a deeper insight into Spanish language and culture, our advanced courses will be perfect for you. Contact us and we will guide you to join the right course to match your ability and interests.

What you will achieve

Joining an Advanced course will enable you to:

  • Understand most conversations, news, TV programmes and films.
  • Interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
  • Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts.
  • Express yourself in a clear and well-structured way both in spoken and written spanish.
  • Write clear, detailed texts on a wide range of topics and explain your point of view giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
